I saw a sand mandala made. It took six days for Lama Karma Namgel's nephew to build. It was the most intricate peice of art I have ever seen. They then had a ceremony at the Temple and then pooled the sand in the middle of the board and scooped the sand into bags for everyone. Lama Karma took some of the sand to Kanemoto park and had a compassion ceremony there and put the sand in the river for the world to receive the compassion and healing. Amazing...
